Sample report · what a stranger can assemble

Someone who searched your name today could learn that Jordan Petty is 34, lives on Maplewood Drive in Cedar Rapids, and is related to Dana Petty. Two people-search sites publish that profile, address included. The same search connects it to a GitHub account using the handle jpetty_makes.

Illustration with invented data. Your scan is about you, and only you.

What a stranger can assemble

Your address and your username come from two different places. The internet joins them for free.

Scourjay looks in both, the same way anyone curious about you would, and shows you the picture they would end up with.

Brokers People-search sites

Data brokers publish a profile keyed to your name and city: home address, age, past cities, and named relatives. Anyone can read it, and most people do not know theirs exists.

  • Home address
  • Age
  • Relatives
  • Past cities
  • Phone

Accounts Handle traces

The usernames you reuse tie your accounts together. One handle on a dating site, a code host, and a photo app is a map of you that a name search alone would never draw.

  • Reused handles
  • Profiles that name you
  • Linked email
  • Known breaches

How it works

Four steps. About a minute of yours.

STEP 01

Tell us your handles

The usernames you have used, your name, and your city. This is the single most useful thing you can give us, and it takes about a minute.

STEP 02

We run the scan

We check people-search sites for listings about you and check your handles across account sites. This is the deep part, and it runs while you do other things.

STEP 03

We verify each hit is you

An account that reuses your handle is not proof it is yours. We read each one and tell you which we could tie to you, which we could not, and which we could not check.

STEP 04

You get the report and a kit

A plain description of what is exposed, and one clear removal action for every finding. When you are done, one click deletes all of it.

Why you can trust the result

Most services in this space count everything and call it exposure. We do not.

01

Two numbers, never added together

What we confirmed is yours, and what merely uses your handle, are different facts. We keep them apart instead of blending them into one scary score.

02

We tell you what we could not check

When a site blocks our check, that result is not clean and it is not hidden. It gets its own place, counted in neither number, so a gap never reads as good news.

03

Breach detail stays locked until you prove the address is yours

If the scan finds an email that looks linked to you, we do not show what it was breached in until you verify it. We should not hand you someone else’s exposure, so we will not.

3Confirmed exposures
2Possibly you

7 more results are counted in neither number, including 2 our check could not complete. Listed plainly, because a result we could not check is not a result that came back clean.

Built to scan only you

A tool that maps a person should be pointed at yourself. This one is built so it cannot easily be pointed anywhere else.

Verified before it opens

You verify your email and phone before an account exists, and we confirm you are the person the scan is about before your report opens. The report goes to your verified account, and nowhere else.

Yours to delete, entirely

One click removes the report, every finding, and everything you told us. Your report link stops working, because the data behind it is gone. Nothing renews, so nothing has to keep finding problems to justify itself.

Built to scan only you, enforced and logged. We will not claim it is impossible to misuse, because that would not be true.

One payment. That is the whole deal.

Questions worth asking

Straight answers.

Can I scan someone else?

No. Scourjay scans the person the details belong to. You verify your own email and phone, and we confirm the scan is about you before the report opens. Scanning another person is not a feature we offer, and not one we will build.

What happens to my data?

It stays on your verified account and is shown nowhere else. We never sell or share it. When you delete, the report and everything behind it is gone, and the link stops working. You can check that yourself.

Is this legal?

Yes. Everything Scourjay reads is already public: people-search listings and public account pages. We point the same search a stranger could run at your own footprint, then help you close it.

How long does it take?

Your report is ready within 6 hours. You do not have to keep the page open. We tell you at your verified address when it is ready.

Will it find everything?

No, and we say so in the report. Some sites block our check, and we mark those plainly rather than pretending they came back clean. What we show, we stand behind. What we could not see, we name.

Do I need to give you my real name?

To search people-search sites, yes: they index by name and city, not by handle. The account half of the scan runs on the usernames you give us. You control what you enter, and you can delete all of it at the end.

See what is out there. Then decide what stays.
